Credit Card Policies
Avis Jamaica accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, Diners Club, Discover Card, MasterCard, Visa.
A pre-authorization hold is applied to the credit card at the time of the rental for the rental amount. A security deposit will also apply to the credit card hold. Please note: While this hold is in place, the funds will not be available for your use. At the end of the rental, the credit card is charged for the rental amount, and the pre-authorization hold is released for the full value of the security deposit:
- Provided that the car is refueled.
- Provided that the car is returned at the agreed location, date and time.
- Except for your amount of "responsibility", if any, in the event of damage/loss as specified on the rental document and depending on your coverage selection.
Please bear in mind that although we process the reversal at the end of the rental, your bank may take time to post it back to your account. Check with the reservation center for additional information.

Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
