Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount of 10000.00 EUR to 50000.00 EUR if Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not taken. Purchase of CDW reduces liability to an amount between 1200.00 EUR and 4000.00 EUR depending on car group rented in the event of an accident or parking damage to the Avis vehicle.
Theft Protection (TP) is Optional
Depending on car group rented, customer is liable for an amount of 10000.00 EUR to 50000.00 EUR if Theft Protection (TP) is not taken. Purchase of TP reduces liability to an amount between 1200.00 EUR and 4000.00 EUR depending on car group rented for theft of parts or all of the Avis vehicle.

Windscreen cover
This covers the windscreen cracks or rock chips. Windscreen cover can be added to your booking when you pick up your vehicle from rental location. Windscreen cover is not included to rentals in Finland.
Credit Card Policies
Avis Finland accepts Avis Charge Cards, American Express, MasterCard and Visa. We do not accept cash, debit cards, Diners cards, Maestro cards, Visa Electron cards or any prepaid credit cards.
Pre-Authorisation / Security Deposit
You must give us a pre-authorisation on your payment card before we release the vehicle to you. A pre-authorisation holds money in your account.
The amount of the pre-authorisation is calculated based on:
(a) the estimated vehicle rental price, (b) plus the estimated price of all optional extras you've requested, (c) plus an amount to allow for any fuel you may use
If you have selected our Pay Now option, when booking, the sum you have paid will be deducted from the pre-authorisation value.

An International Driving Permit (IDP) serves only as a translation of a driver's existing license, and by itself is not acceptable for vehicle rental.
Personal Accident Insurance
Public Liability and Property Damage
Public liability insurance is in accordance with the insurance laws of the country. Customer may inquire at the time of rental for additional information of the benefits, conditions and acceptance.
Note: Some credit cards provide insurance coverage, with certain limitations, as a benefit of using the card to rent vehicles. The customer is advised to contact the card issuer before the rental. Any waiver must be discussed directly with the location upon arrival.

Travel Into Other Countries
Check cross border availability from our Reservation Center and remember to mention the border cross for the Damage and Theft Protections to apply. Border crossing is allowed only to Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Border crossing fee is EUR 75 (incl. Tax).
Contact our reservation center with your cross border request at least 7 days before departure.
